| [[So...yeah it's long, but it's two parts. BUT I'D LOVE FOR SOMEONE TO COME JOIN ME IN THIS. I may end up taking this romance route or not, depending on what you want to do...character death, or depression, maybe? Oh, and she does have a human name, BEFORE, so if you find it and bring it up with her...something interesting may happen.]]
[[Past scene:]]The woman collapsed at the foot of the stairs. She looked down over the edge at the ground below her. Five hundred feet, she estimated. If she really wanted, she could've jumped down, but they still would've gotten her. And that, she couldn't allow, not even in death. She had left the village for the mountains, after they saw her, and after a stranger that she somehow knew told her to run. She ran into the forest, into a building, carved into the mountain, and ascending high up to the top. There weren't any rails, and the stairs leading out of the first station shielded by wall were only wide enough for one person to walk. On top of that, she was exhausted. She couldn't keep running, but everyone knew her name, and her face. She'd been chosen, and there was no escape from that. The young woman closed her eyes, not trying to stop her tears, or her weariness. The bruises and cuts on her skin stung, but the gentle breeze ran over her, and gave her a momentary relief. She gave one last glance at the ground below her; all the trees, birds and green that made up the land. She closed her eyes, letting the darkness come over her, and felt her head fall and body drop into a most welcomed sweet, relieving emptiness.
[Present:] Funny how Fate sometimes tells you not to do things. She made her way quickly through the marketplace, as her mind started to ramble things she had long hoped to put aside, or better yet, forget. Years passed, and it still haunted her. But the name and woman was long dead to her, she thought, tossing her hair over her shoulder. A new life, a new haircut. A new name. She smiled at the civilians as they passed her. This was one of the things she held onto; her humanness. It made her feel...like her again. Maybe they knew, and maybe they didn't, but they still treated her as a person, one of them. ...Still...the tiny feeling never left the back of her mind. They were probably long dead, but why did they still haunt her? She forced herself to think about what type of food she was going to cook that night instead. But she couldn't put her thoughts off forever.

| [[not at all ^^ it's if you're thinking about it, or something happened to you that for some reason, during the rp, makes you remember it. I'm just writing her past thingy, and then skipping ahead to present day...just for the sake of being dramatic and giving a little something to think about.]] | |

| (( Thanks for the info then. I'll join you in this role-play then. :3 ))
A middle aged teen with hair of fire walked among the people of the market, making careful steps as not to trip on anything or anyone for that matter. Her mind full of the trauma she had been through during wars still scarred her like an endless dream. Those who had lived through it, she had no memory of, but only the memories of her ex-brother and new big brother. A bag of meat is what she has with her. Only if she could find one to sell the rabbit's flesh to. But alas, this was her only food in which she had to get some money to get herself a new hair clip to maybe do her hair one day. |

| [[ Hell yeah, that's a good paragraph.]] She stopped and looked around. Meat was probably a good idea for a main dish. Her eyes stopped on a girl, looking not much older than she, carrying a bag of meat. The girl had hair of the vibrant sort, a rarity in this part. So she might not be local, Beijing thought. In any case, she approached the young lady. "Good day, miss," the corners of her lips twitched up slightly--that was how she gave small smiles. And they were so bruised that--it was rude to assume the girl was selling anything. "Are you doing a little window-shopping of your own, as well?" that was rhetorical, sort of, but she just might be. "I can't find any meat, could you tell me where you got yours?" | |

| (( Thanks ^^ )) Not being accustomed to speaking to strangers, she just stood there and looked at the woman in which had approached her. " Actually, I'm looking to sell this meat for some money so I can get a new clip. I had gone out hunting earlier and wanted to sell.. It's rabbit, " The girl said in a soft, monotone voice. She looks like she obviously had problems showing any emotion as all since the look on her face was blank and her bright green eyes were unreadable as if wearing a mask to cover up her fears and troubles. She didn't have much money since she did all of her work herself and was paid with the meat and small pieces of bread she had made. No one bothers to even speak to her at all either, knowing she is one that is quite tough, and could be violent when approached with a threat. Looking the woman's face, she cautiously asks, " Why? Would you want to buy from me by any chance. It's not much, but it's my morning's catch and all I have to get some money.. " She was careful to say the last part as quietly as possible, as if insecure about telling the other about it. |

| The girl looked at her. Much like a ghost, she thought. She was surprisingly quiet, her eyes blank and guarded. She could understand being in that state, sympathize with it. Dangerous, or not. understandable. She sighed. Something she had used before.[[Because I'm getting a scary vibe from Ariz ;-;]]"Actually, yes, I'd like to buy it from you." She heard what the girl had said quietly, but didn't want to pry. So she didn't ask. She shifted. "So, how much do you usually charge?"
[[I'm tempted to just invite Arizona to lunch. I can't think of how, and I don't want Bei to forget her money at home, and just trade what she has for what she needs...>_<]]

| (( X3 Do whatever you wish to do. ))
The teen becomes less defensive of her self then and there. This lady was no threat, so she did not wish to treat her like one. She carefully says, " However much you wish to pay. I'm not really looking for much. " A small hopeful smile rest upon her face as she had said this. She didn't exactly know her yet, but the thing she could do was trust her. It was the least she could do. |

| The girl asked her to name her price. Well. That took her by surprise. "Hm. Then would lunch do? " [[using the rabbit meat. gonna give you money later...can we pass by te clip?]] She was expecting no, but it didn't hurt to try. "I'm sorry, but I don't know how much to pay for the meat, I'd have to study it. So at the moment, that's all I can think of as payment." she gave the girl a small, apologetic smile. | |

| (( Yeah we can pass it. )) " Sure. I don't mind ma'am." She says. She truly didn't mind it. As long as she got something out of the sale. " I can sell more things for some money so money isn't one of my worries. " She states clearly. She just wanted to make her point that money wasn't on her mind at all and that she could sell more things to get it. |

| She smiled, relieved. "I wasn't worried that you were looking for money--I was more worried that you wouldn't accept lunch," she admitted. She looked down at her watch. "Well, we could go now, or would you rather stay around a little longer?" The meat was the last thing she needed on the list. And her house was a good 15 minutes away. Half into the forest, but close enough to civilization and the market. As she waited for the girl to respond, she tried to think of what she would cook for both dinner and lunch.

" I would have excepted anything I am given. I'm grateful for your offer for lunch. We can go whenever you wish, but it should be soon. Rabbit meat isn't fresh for long periods of time unless salted and iced, you know. " Says the green eyed girl. She had just recently caught the rabbit, and living in a small house far into the forest didn't help the freshness of her catch. She lived only a half an hour away on foot if you were to walk. She was a quick runner, so that at least took of 2% of the time to arrive at the market. |

| [[It's something from Dunkin Donuts. I don't know it well enough to explain, but I guess something like a smoothie...sorta.]]
The girl was polite, and luckily, okay with the idea of lunch. She just hoped she wasn't bad with Chinese food...not like that was the only thing she could make with a rabbit. "Alright then. We should probably go then. My house is this way," she pointed towards the forest. "Do you want to carry the meat?" she asked, looking back at the girl. She couldn't tell how much the meat weighed, not by looks, but since it was a single rabbit, it shouldn't be too heavy...unless it was a fat rabbit.

| (( Mmm.. Smoothies. It sounds good. ))
" I can carry the meat. It isn't all that heavy at all. It's just about a pound, maybe a little less. " She says. The rabbit was big, but surprisingly very light. Light enough for a baby to hold even. She follows the woman to her house, noticing the fact it was near the forest. That meant she could get home a small bit quicker than she had thought when it gets dark. (( Oops. I did this on my other account since i just noticed I wasn't logged in with Arizona )) |

| She fished out her house key and unlocked the door. "Speaking of lunch...what do you like to eat?" she pushed the door with her free hand, but did not look away from the girl. Rabbit meat was good just as it was, well, maybe with some other small things, but there'd have to be another dish. Her family wasn't home, so she could save part of the meat for dinner later. For now, the guest was the most important, besides food | |

| " Well, I like eating anything that is given to me really. My favorite, however is rice. I remember when my big brother had given me some. I don't see him much, but he makes it really good. " The girl says. She remembers this just like it was yesterday, when all peace was set into her young mind that wasn't yet darkened from war.
[Past]
A small little girl with the happiest of sparks in her bright green eyes wears a large smile upon her face as she helps her big brother with their dinner. She had just recently been taught to hunt rabbit and small birds, and so her loving big brother was cooking up some Mexican rice and the small chicken she had caught. She loved the way her big brother cooked and it made her feel happy inside. She sat on the counter next to where her brother cooked his heart out. It was something he was good at, and something she wanted to be good at too.
[Back to the present]
She liked her memories in which she had of that were not corrupted from the terrors of war. It made her smile a little. |

| She smiled. "Ah, I see." She stepped aside to let the girl go in first. "Please, shoes off." She continued on topic of rice. "Lucky, I suppose, we eat rice here, quite often. Though, I'm not sure it's the rice you're talking of." She stuffed the key into her basket. "Would you by any chance know the recipe?"
"Eat." That was one of the first words even uttered directly to her. The man set down a bowl in front of her, steaming hot, freshly made, soup. Salvation. The word entered her mind as she lifted the bowl to her lips. Not drugged, and delicious. She only remembered him by so little, and that soup was one of those things. It was, just maybe, the day her life started to turn around, but only half-way. Learning to cook was another part. He started to teach her the essentials, but he didn't quite warm up to her. She didn't even know why he was helping her, or if he even knew. That's why, when her hand was burned by a small splash of hot water, on an old wound, she tried to keep still her shaking hand. He didn't need to know. No one did.
[[Oh god, this is turning into a drama about cooking for me.]]

| The girl takes off her shoes and steps inside. " I like all types of rice really, and I think I remember the recipe.. Can I write it down? " She asks. She remembered everything, but she didn't want to say the entire thing in case of the kind lady who was making lunch were to hear her wrong. She was a little excited to help her with lunch if she were to allow her to.
( Hehe X3. Have you ever watched kitchen nightmares? It's like a reality cooking drama show. ) |

| [[Omg, what if this turned into two girls with a passion for cooking to bring them through their pasts? XD]] She closed the door behind her and set the basket down on a table. "Sure, that'd be a good idea." She went to go get some paper and a pen and handed it to the girl. It'd be nice to exchange recipes, she thought, even if it really wasn't exchanging. Especially for rice--her family would probably love the rice somehow. She walked into the kitchen and started putting the groceries away. | |

| Ai passed the girl and stopped, reading over her shoulder. "Hm...Jalapenos? I don't think I have that in the house, but we might have some lime left over. Do you think you could go pick some up? I'll start gathering the ingredients and working on the other dishes." | |

| [[Oops, it's gotta be longer than that, Ari. Luckily, Thai gets mad only after a certain number...and I'm not sure he'll see this one but...]] "Great," she smiled. "Do you need any money or anything...?" her voice became more spaced out and quieter as she half thought about the recipe. "I think the market sellers are okay with trading, if that helps." | |

" Yeah.. I do need money to do so. Trading would be fine with me, however it truly depends on what the trade is.. I'll find something. Don't worry " Ariz says with a small nod she internally smiled and one thing simply popped into her mind, " another hunt could bring me enough things to trade. " Ariz nods at her thoughts and says, " I should go to get my trade object right away. I will come back once I have gotten the jalapenos. " |

| She started to pick out cups and knives to use. She stopped and looked up."Alright. Are you sure you don't need money?" She walked out of the kitchen and into the main room, taking some coins out of a box. She turned back to the girl. "Why don't you take a bit, just in case?"
