Heracles was pacing the width of his room, staring at the small piece of paper he had written the name and number of a girl he wasn't too sure he liked but he got the number anyways from a friend of his that knew the girl. Pulling out his phone and sitting on the edge of his bed he sighed. "Might as well give her a chance," he told himself but made no attempt to dial up the numbers.
He allowed himself to fall onto his back with a sigh, he never thought he'd had difficulties asking a girl out. Picking at the covers of his bed and biting his bottom lip he felt like leaving this for another day so that he could curl up in his bed and sleep, but he knew that he wouldn't hear the end of it from his friends. He groaned noisely, making himself slide off of his bed and onto the floor. He stared at his phone, dialing the numbers in sequence, wondering silently what the hell he was doing. He didn't even know if he liked the girl!
He sighed loudly again, holding the phone up to his ear to wait for the girl to pick up.

"..." One a.m, Beijing was still in the kitchen with her family, cooking. Late, she knew, but they had just come back from an event. And dinner had no been served, if you could call a snack dinner. She tlted the wok, jilting it and making the vegetables jump and turn themselves. The steam and noise in the kitchen distracted, almost hypnotized her with its familiarity, so she jumped when Taiwan called for her. She ran towards Mei Mei and switched places, looking at the phone.
She frowned. She didn't have this number apparently. Who else would call at this time? She looked at her family, and held the phone up to show Yao she was answering it before running out into the porch. She pressed it to her ear. "Hello? Who is this?"

"Hello," Heracles said shifting on his spot on the floor, taking a small pause to calm himself. "I'm Greece," he replied, "Is this, uh," he stopped to look at the paper for her name, "is this Beijing?"
He scooted on the floor till he was able to fully lay on the ground. He was already regretting making the call, and was just tempted to hang up, go find one of the stray cats that tend to wander around his house, scoop it up and cuddle with it the rest of the night, but he wouldn't allow himself the chance. He had to stay confident throughout the call, and attempt to ask this girl out. His stomach fluttered with unease, as he still found it odd that he couldn't just simply ask her out like he would all the other women he could've been with. He sighed to silently, trying to not let his mind stray from more important things like how to play this all out.

She blinked, listening to him speak. "Yes, this is she..." she trailed off a little, her mind thinking. "Can I help you..., Master Greece?" She shifted the phone to her other ear. She was a little tired, but interested in what this man had to say. Sure...most of her work days consisted of talking with other capitals and cities, but she did come across countries. Now was going to be one of those rarities she either got to enjoy too often, or not at all.
She decided that this would be a good thing. She let her shoulders fall a little, waiting for him to respond. What did he want to ask her? At this time?

He twitched when he heard the girl's voice say master, wondering if she called everyone that she meets that. He blinks through a few thoughts, before he realized she was waiting for him to speak. "Uh, I was just wondering if..." he paused for a moment, the consequences of asking a person out when you barely knew them flew through his head at the speed of light, "if you'd like go out somewhere sometime?"
He quickly asked her, fiddling with the hems of his jeans. It took him a moment to realize that it must've been late over there, which made him flush. He should've waited for another time, but it was too late now. He rolled over onto his stomach, resting his heated head on it's side against the cool floor and holding the phone on the other ear that wasn't listening to the floor and waited for a response.

Her eyes widened when he finally spoke. A date. He was asking for a date, with a capital. She wasn't dreaming, was she? "Erm, hold on a second, sir, please--" she covered the reciever, stifling a yawn and then slapped herself. Okay. "Hello?" she wasn't dreaming. "Um, yes...I'd be fine with that," she replied, her voice a little shaky from tiredness and being cold. She cleared her throat. "Where did you have in mind?" She wanted to at least hear the man out first...even if Yao wouldn't exactly agree. Oh well, who was the one reponsible for keeping his ties together?
And besides, this Greece...she'd heard of him, and he sounded like a good man...not crazy, like Prussia, and modest.

Greece reminded himself to breath as he waited for a response and nearly died of relief when he heard her accept his invitation and raked his mind quickly for a place to take her, having not thought this through fully. He stammered into the phone a little, trying to think of something - anything - but his mind refused to be of any use. He rolled over and sat up cross-legged. "How about I go over to your place and we figure things out there?" he asked, thinking that it was a pretty safe thing to do until he really found out a good place for them to go, "Maybe you could show me around, and then if things work out I could bring you over here and show you a few things myself."
He shrugged, it was a better offer then nothing and he felt that maybe this was a better way for them to get to know each other then to just jump right in and get all fancy.

He was stammering. And then he had suggested to meet her at her place. Take your date home the first date, nice. Well, it was only for a little bit, she assumed. Yao...shouldn't mind, after all. Not if he knew what was good for him. Her face turned pinkish a little, when she realized he was probably waiting for her to speak now. "Ah...yes...that would be fine," she said slowly, her eyes flitting around, like she was reading a script being typed word for word. "We could meet somewhere a little closer. I assume that your time zone is different from mine." It sounded strange: no matter where they met in China, it would be relatively the same time. Oh well.

Yeah, it's a little different..." Greece replied, shifting his sore back along the edge of the bed frame that he used to sit himself up against, "Just let me know when I should come and where I should go and I will be sure to get there on time."
He didn't mean to put everything on her, but he just wasn't sure about the details. He just wasn't well planned out for this, considering the fact that we wasn't even planning on calling her in the first place. He was pretty excited that he got a date after he hadn't had one for awhile, and not only that but this one was also with capital. He found it different, and somewhat nice.

"Mm...I'm free..." she stopped herself. "..." Tomorrow? Next week? How much time did she need to prepare for this kind of occasion? Dressing nice was out of the option, obviously. She bit the corner of her lip, twirling a long strand of her hair. "That depends really...when are you free the most? I'm good for tomorrow, Wednesday and Friday next week. In the afternoon.
Suddenly, a pang/thought ran through her mind. Did Greece by any chance do something that made China mad? Or...did China set them up? She looked behind her through the window. Unlikely...but not impossible. Something would have to happen between them...but even if it wasn't...she exhaled. It was still nice to be acknowledged for a date, not for your work.

Greece nodded, checking his mental calendar for any important events that would be coming up and glad he found non all too important. "Next week," he said, thinking that that would give him enough time to reschedule his schedules, "For sure."
He got up from the floor and shifted around his room, grabbing a pen and his pulling out his small calendar from his desk and marked down the next week all the while thinking about things he'd need to sort out.

She waited to hear his response, staring up at the sliver of a moon in the sky. Right now, her mind was as blank as the dark side of that moon. She wasn't excited, but she wasn't annoyed by the idea. She didn't know what to think...not until she actually met this man in person. He wan't going to be a pervert or something...was he?

"Yes, Friday would be fine," Greece replied, rubbing the back of his head, "I'm looking forward to the day." He couldn't help but sound monotone, unsure of his feelings about this plan as he thought about who this girl was and how she would act around him. He didn't want for her to treat him too formally. He preferred it if she would be more casual and outgoing, but he'd just have to wait and see.

She couldn't hep but grin. "I'm looking forwar to it too, actually. So...what time should we meet? And...do you want me to meet you somewhere?" He sounded a little monotone, but that was fine with her...she was a little monotonous, too. She shifted onto her other foot. What was this man like, she wondered? He sounded nice, was he as nice, or was he tired? Six hours away...he was at about 7pm. There had to be a place...or at least a time they could meet up where it wasn't going to be extremely inconvenient.
But on the other hand...was he going to like her? How should she be? Nothing too formal...but not too trusting...and she didn't want to ask any of her relatives...

He pondered for a moment, understanding the time differences. "I think at noon your time," he said, then added, "If that's good for you." He didn't want to take up anything important in her time.
He continued to think... He didn't know any good place to meet her at... "Ah, do you know a place we could meet up at?" He really was stuck at a dead end about places at that city, he didn't know anything about the layout and would probably have to carry a map around with him for the duration of his visit.

"Noon. That sounds fine." And so noon in her time was 12...but in his place was 6 am...she tried to think about what she knew about this man from the last time she had heard of him. Wasn't he a tired sort of person? Would that be too early for him?
She blinked, out of her thoughts by his voice. She closed her eyes, trying to think of a place they could meet. "The area in front of the Forbidden Palace...does that sound good...or should I meet you at the airport?" she leaned against the railing, trying think about what kind of places she could take him around. Maybe somewhere maps couldn't document...

"The Forbidden Palace sounds like a great place to meet up," he replied with a small smile, thinking that maybe he could get there early so that he'd have enough time to find a map somewhere... or something that could help him so that he wouldn't have to rely on Beijing all the time. "So... Friday, next week, Forbidden Palace, at noon... Does that sound all good?"

"Yes," she nodded, even though he wouldn't be able to see it. Then again, whatever she did, smile, twitch...not seen by a long shot or from a long distance. "That sounds fine. I look forward to seeing you there," she found herself smiling into the reciever and bit her lip. "Good night," she closed the phone.
Ai looked around, not quite ready to go back inside. She forced herself in, and walked past the kitchen and into her room. Not before Yao noticed though.
"What are you doing, aru??" he didn't wait for her to answer. "Eat something--you can't sleep on an empty stomach, aru!"
"..." she laughed weakly and ducked under the curtain into the kitchen. She ate the late dinner, but that was the last thing she was thinking about. More so, the last person, she was thinking of...

Greece nodded to himself, placing his phone gently on his desk and opening a window. He took a moment to appreciate the warm air before he turned back to his bed. He laid on the bed on his stomach, nuzzling his face into his pillow. He really wondered what this girl was like, considering the fact that this was pretty much a blind date and truly out of the blue. Maybe he made a mistake about this... What if it wasn't going to be like the way he had planned it to be?
With a sigh he rolled over onto his back and closed his eyes. 'Better to worry about this tomorrow,' he thought, slowly dozing off into a sleep.

Friday, 12:00 China timezone, Forbidden Palace

She was sitting on a bench in front of the large palace. The roads and sidewalks were busy as per usual, and it was rather breezy. The skies were clear, but not blinding. A good day for a date, she thought nonchalantly. Or a nap, for that matter. She let her shoulders slump and her head hit the back of the stone bench. "Ow." She hadn't gotten much sleep last night. Wondering about how it would turn out, what person he was, what he looked like...
She gasped, sitting up. She totally neglected to tell him what she looked like! And...and she didn't know what he looked like either! Unless...she squinted her eyes and stared into the distance, shading her eyes with her hand. A familiar face, but not a name to put it to. Was that him?

Greece looked around at this surroundings sleepily, wanting to take a nap but kept on moving. He looked through the shifting crowds, looking for this girl. 'What did she look like?' he asked himself, trying to remember the last time he'd seen her... If he'd even seen her at all. He found it hard to concentrate on looking for his date then is was to look at the structures of the palace. He'd never really visited this place...

"..." she tried to align those two; that of the guy in front of her, and that of a voice she had heard. Did his voice match that appearence? His voice...it was slow...sleepy, rather smooth and deep. Quiet...and maybe just a little...nice to listen to. She wouldn't mind hearing that voice again, actually. Was he tall, dark and handsome?
...That man...didn't look anything like the one she was looking at. And that same one...was grinning at her. She felt a shiver and pretended not to see him. She stood up and turned to look at the Palace. Beside her, was a taller man, a Caucasian.

Looking through the crowd Greece spotted a girl that could be the capital he was looking for, but she was beside another man. 'Maybe that isn't Beijing,' he thought, observing the the girl and the man, 'but I guess it doesn't hurt to check.' Weaving through the waves of changing faces, he had finally made it towards the girl and the man.
"Excuse me," he said monotonously, "but I'm looking for a certain someone that was supposed to meet me here." He looked between the two, hoping that he'd found the right girl.

Her face drained of color. He sounded familiar, that monotone voice...her eyes ran over his features. Wait...he did look familiar. She swallowed. "Are you by any chance, Master Greece?" she asked, hoping it was.
